Stained Glass

We were in Denver Colorado in 2008 and wanted to take a stained glass class so Nina and I could do stained glass together.  We had never done any before.  Our first projects (in class) are the sailboat and the sunset.

(To be added later)

I did the sailboat and Nina did the sunset.  After that we tried a couple on our own of our own design.  By the end of those two we were hooked.  Nina made several "boxes" and we decided to do a peice for each of our children for the next Christmas, after all we had all year to get them done.  Procrastination was alive and well and living in our house.  It was July before we got started.

Our daughter wanted dragons to put up in the grandson's room,

the oldest son wanted a fireplace screen

and the youngest son wanted a picture of the temple where they were sealed.

Yes, this is the same one as at the top.  The difference is the back lighting from the window on the top one while this one is against the wall.  It is the same picture just moved to a different location for the camera shot.

Then there were the special ones we added, one for my brother,

one for each of Nina's sisters (she is one of six).

(To be added later)

We stopped there and a couple of them had to be delivered after Christmas.  Nina did make a few boxes to give to some of the other folks.
